Arrives Dublin 8th May 2010
Departs Kerry 13th May 2010
After many years of walking and climbing in England, Scotland and Wales, I realised that I was guilty of neglecting that fine land over the Irish Channel. Furthermore when I learned that there were ten magnificent peaks to be had each above 3000 feet in altitude, incorporating superb wilderness, a day of the best grade 1 scrambling the British Isles has to offer, and more Guinness than you can shake a leaf of clover at … I was inspoired! Equipment
The kit list specifically required for this trip will be sent to you upon receiving your registration details. But in the meantime consider buying some good walking boots and start wearing them in … now. No technical kit is required, though you should have kit for cold and especially for wet weather - even if this is a spring trip!
Level of Fitness
The first two days are really quite reasonable, and are a good warm up for days three and four, which can be more demanding. We will have two group leaders which will lend flexibility to cut these days down if need be. Also the free time at the end of the week allows a degree of further flexibility. But do consider exercising regularly each week to develop your cardiovascular system and stamina. At weekends, go and explore some countryside, maybe take a pack and do some camping. As a rule of thumb, if you can comfortably walk 8 miles - then you should be fine on this trip.

How about carbon offsetting your flight here? Climate Care allows you to offset your flight's emissions by funding sustainable energy projects. From £3 for return flights to Morocco to £47 for flights to NZ - this trip needn't cost the Earth. Thanks.
